Grove Examiner Interview: Why I’m Running for Alderman in Spruce Grove
During the first week of August, Spruce Grove Examiner Reporter Keenan Sorokan reached out to me to interview about why I’m running for Alderman in Spruce Grove.
I had a lot to say and obviously he had limited space but he captured a lot of the issues that we discussed; issues that matter to residents in Spruce Grove and what we need to work on as council should we have new council members elected.
You can read the interview Meet the Candidates for the Upcoming Spruce Grove Election. It’s alphabetical so I’m third (of course!)
Some of the highlights:
- Bringing accountability and transparency to council with recorded votes on every motion
- the lack of a third party independent feasibility study for the renovation of the fire station (rather than building a second station)
- revamping and bringing photo radar in-house (or getting rid of it if it’s proven it’s not effective)
- looking beyond the issues that could be resolved in 2018 and examine projects beyond that time and who on council will bring them forward
